More than 2,400 athletes from across the state will participate at the 2012 Special Olympics New Jersey Summer Games. Athletes will compete in Aquatics, Bocce, Gymnastics, Powerlifting, Softball, Tennis, and Track & Field.

Opening Cermonies on Friday evening June 8, starting at 7:30 pm. Young Athlete Program activities will be taking place on Saturday, June 9. The highlight for children and parents alike will be the "Future Stars Race" as the Young Athletes take to the track at 12:30 p.m. for a 25M race.

Athletes are invited to the Student Center at TCNJ on Saturday and Sunday of Summer Games to take part in the free health screenings and education programs that are part of the Healthy Athletes initiative.
